 Alert's Training School has been operational for 6 years. It boasts NZQA qualified teachers and caters for an everyday person coming in on one side, and coming out on the other end completely qualified, with car finance arranged, all mechanical installations done, all the area knowledge and endorsements complete, with license and ID photos. Everything done on our premises, without having to go here there and everywhere to get it done.

About the Course
|
The course takes approximately 8 weeks. You will be taught five area knowledge's, namely Manukau, North Shore, Papakura, Waitakere and Auckland City. You will complete five comprehensive area knowledge tests, including the shortest routes, commercial buildings, post offices, places of interest, restaurants, hotels, etc. You will also be asked to sit an Alert Permit, which is an on-road exam where you will be tested for 2 hours on your ability to drive smoothly with a customer in the car. The tutor will asses your ability to find the shortest way to an address. You will also be given multiple test jobs via the data system. The operator will asses your use of the data system, including mapping and tracking on the screen.

Your Options
|
 Once you pass, Alert will allocate you a company vehicle to start work. Or you can choose to become an owner/operator, in which case you provide a vehicle of your own, or we finance you into a vehicle. We are able to do that through our workshop, Alert Automotive. We do a refurbishment of a car and provide it for a good price. You are then able to use that car for a limited time, for example 18 months, which gets you started, after which you need to update it to a car not older than 5 years from date of manufacture. This option allows you to get started as an owner/operator. Finance for these vehicles can be arranged through Alert.

How much does it cost?
|
The course at Alert's Training School costs approximately $1000 from beginning to end. This includes all area knowledge certificates, ID photos etc. A minor investment for a major return!
